 Size: 79 acres
 Purchased: 1997
 Dedicated: May 29, 2003
 Location: 680 Knox Lane
Once used for farming, this site became the community park it is today with the help of several neighborhood and conservation groups. Just over half of the site is dedicated to manicured, turf park activities, while the remainder is used for a native prairie grass exhibit.

Northeast Community Park has two practice soccer and baseball/softball fields, a maintenance building with public restrooms, a two-mile walking trail, and a picnic shelter with six picnic tables.

Future plans include two playgrounds, two picnic shelters, a community/nature center, a pedestrian bridge connecting the park and linear trail, and basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts.

Park Amenities
  • 20 feet by 34 feet picnic shelter with six tables (several ADA accessible)
  • ADA parking cooking grill and water faucet
  • Pedestal drinking fountain
  • Public restrooms in northeast corner of park, with drinking fountain
  • Walking trail and benches
