Parks and Facilities

The City owns and maintains 21 parks totaling 1,000 acres. The parks are scattered throughout the community and offer a wide range of facilities to meet Manhattan's leisure needs.  Enjoy a relaxing picnic in the shade of a huge tree or on one of many picnic tables. Picnic shelters and grills are available for use. Children can enjoy the afternoon playing at a number of playgrounds. For those who enjoy team sports, Manhattan's parks boast an abundance of ball fields, tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, and even a five-acre stocked fishing lake!
