Airport
Manhattan Regional Airport provides aviation services for the City of Manhattan and Flint Hills Region.

City Manager's Office
The city manager is the city's chief administrative officer and is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the City Commission. The city manager is directly responsible for the daily operation and administration of the city, and hires employees to aid in these functions. Employees are divided into nine departments; each headed by a director appointed by the city manager.

Community Development
The Community Development Department was created by the city in 1974, in response to the needs of the community and to take advantage of funding sources available from the Federal government.

Customer Service
The Customer Service Division provides "one-stop" opportunities for city residents including licensing, permits, and utility payments.

Finance Department
The Finance Department serves as the primary agent to ensure the City of Manhattan meets its fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities.

Fire Services
The Manhattan Department of Fire Services (MFD) provides a wide range of services to citizens of Manhattan. Programs administered by the department are divided into two categories -Emergency Services and Technical Services.

Human Resources
The City of Manhattan's Department of Human Resources manages the city's classification and compensation program; administrates employee benefits, and facilitates training, recruitment, and retention.

Legal
The mission of the Legal Services Division is to appear and represent the city in all legal matters in which the city is a party, and to provide the City Commission and administration of the city with legal advice regarding issues involving the municipality.

Parks and Recreation
The philosophy of the Recreation Division of the Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department is to provide and create affordable, recreational, cultural, educational, and leisure opportunities to benefit and enhance the lives of all citizens in the community.

Public Works
The mission of public works is to provide the community with the resources to efficiently manage and maintain those services and facilities that are vital to the community's health, safety, and welfare.
