Discovery Center Master Plan 

The Discovery Center will be a focal point of the South End Redevelopment and will offer a unique tourism experience that celebrates the history, culture and heritage of the Flint Hills and Tallgrass Prairie. The City Commission hired a team of consultants to work with the community to develop a Comprehensive Master Plan for the facility that will be used as the basis for the architectural and exhibit design. 

    The Final Flint Hills Discovery Center Comprehensive Master Plan was adopted by the City
    Commission on May 5, 2009.
