General Facility Rules for all Water Parks (Pools):
  • Have a FUN and SAFE day at Manhattan's CiCo, City and Northview Water Parks!
  • Non-swimmers: Patrons who are not swimming, and are supervising a child/children, will be charged an admission fee of $1.
  • Re-entry: There will no longer be a fee charged for re-entry into the pool.  Patrons who leave the pool will be stamped, allowing re-entry without paying an additional admission fee.
  • No person may use the pool unless it is officially open and the lifeguards are on duty.
  • Lifeguards enforce rules and respond to aquatic emergencies, but parents/guardians are ultimately responsible for the safety and supervision of their children.
  • Each attraction is unique and may not be suitable for all guests.
  • Children 8 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult (14 years of age or older).
  • Please help us assure your children's safety by maintaining the ratio of one adult in the water per every five swimmers of 8 years of age and under.
  • People under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted.
  • The pools will not open unless the temperature is 70 degrees with a clear sky, or 75 degrees with a cloudy sky. In case of adverse weather, the pools will close at the Manager or Head Lifeguard's discretion.
  • No refunds or rain checks will be given.
  • In case of rash, skin disease or open sores, a written statement from a physician will be required before admission is granted.
  • Coolers, jugs, food or drinks may not be brought into the facility.
  • Glass containers of any kind are not permitted in the facility.
  • Please keep all food and drink from the concession stand away from the pools edge. No gum or candy allowed in the pool.
  • Proper swimsuit attire must be worn at all times. Cutoffs, thongs or other swimsuits determined inappropriate by management will not be permitted. Swimwear with zippers, buckles, rivets or any other metal ornamentation (grommets) will not be allowed on the slides.
  • Patrons are allowed to wear a plain white t-shirt or colored swim shirt on all features except the slides and diving boards.
  • All swimmers must supply own suits and towels.
  • Paper or cloth diapers are prohibited in the pool. Swim diapers are available for purchase at the concession stand. Diapers must be changed at the diaper changing stations in the locker rooms or restrooms.
  • Smoking or use of tobacco is not permitted within the facility or within 10 feet of any City building.
  • Patrons should not loiter or play near land or water entries. This includes entrance gates, handicap access entrance to the water, all ladders, stairs and rails.
  • In order to keep our pools clean for everyone, all swimmers are required to take a cleansing head to toe shower before entering the pool.
  • Please rinse street shoes in the showers before walking on the pool deck.
  • Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose, and so on, are not permitted in the pool. Persons having to expectorate must use the scum-trough provided for such a purpose.
  • Floatation devices and water toys (i.e. balls, life-belts, inner tubes, squirt guns, rafts, etc.) are subject to the approval of pool staff. All personal flotation devices must be Coast Guard approved and are not allowed to be worn on any feature.  Arm floaties are not allowed.
  • Foreign objects including rocks, towels, etc. are not permitted in the pool.
  • Patrons are not to visit with lifeguards while on duty.
  • The Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department, City of Manhattan or pool staff are not responsible for loss of personal belongings.
  • Management reserves the right to review, change and establish rules without notice as deemed necessary. Whenever additional rules are deemed advisable for the proper protection of health and safety of participants, the management is authorized to issue and place into effect such rules printed, verbal and on-line.
  • If there is any question in regard to these rules and regulations or some that may be put into effect, the Manager shall be contacted.
  • Anyone failing to obey the rules or instructions, either verbal or written, may be ejected from the pool without refund or admission fee.
  • Thank you for the time you took to read our rules. The Management and Aquatic Staff appreciate your cooperation and assistance to make the facilities safe places for all adults and children to have fun!

Personal Conduct Rules
  • No running at any time.
  • Dunking or rough play is not allowed.
  • Abusive or profane language is prohibited.
  • Towel snapping or towel fighting is not allowed.
  • For your safety, diving is allowed only in water five feet deep or greater.
  • No back dives, flips, preacher seats or can openers allowed off the side of the pool.
  • Playing on the ladders and entry ramps is not permitted.
  • Playing on lifeguard towers is prohibited.
  • Patrons are not allowed to carry other patrons on their back in the water or on land.

Weather Policy
  • For your safety, in accordance with precautions outlined by the National Weather Service, we ask that you please comply with the following weather policy:
  • In the event that thunder is heard or lightning is seen, the water park will be cleared of swimmers, and will be kept clear until 30 minutes have passed without hearing thunder or seeing lightning.  (The 30 minute clock will restart after each occurrence).
  • No new admissions will be permitted during this time.
  • If heavy rain is present and there is poor visibility of the bottom of the pools, all patrons will be asked to get out of the pools until rain subsides.
  • IF 2 hours pass during which patrons are unable to swim as result of inclement weather, the management team will close the pool.  Management staff will reevaluate the situation after 2 hours.
  • If local weather reports indicate the presence of storms for an extended period of time, the water parks will remain closed.
  • No refunds or rain checks will be issued.
  • If the National Weather Service issues a tornado watch, patrons will be notified with the facility's public address system.  If the National Weather Service issues a tornado warning, all remaining staff and patrons are to immediately proceed to an emergency shelter (bath house).
  • Patrons choosing to evacuate to their vehicles, release the City of Manhattan, Manhattan Parks and Recreation Department, and all water park employees for their safety.
  • The pools will not open unless the temperature is 70 degrees with a clear sky, or 75 degrees with a cloudy sky. In case of adverse weather, the pools will close at the Manager or Head Lifeguard's discretion.
